Was recommended this from a family member who had previously visited on a vacation trip from out of state and was not disappointed. Excellent service, great food and prices that do not break the bank made the hour trip well worth it. It was only 5-10 minutes between ordering and having the food on the table despite the long line and how busy it was on a Saturday afternoon.

Healthy and delicious food choices. I had cup soup and half BLT for lunch - it was a great choice to taste summer. Enjoyed fresh bread and veggie dishes. After lunch, I grabbed a loaf of french bread for next day breakfast. Can’t wait to taste the bread as well.

The menu is extensive and breakfast items are served all day. I highly recommend ordering a cookie (or several) with each order. The “Magic Cookie” is the one you want, but unfortunately they were sold out when we ordered. You’ll find dining tables inside and outside.

One of my favorite places in Boone! I frequent the Kitchen for lunch and also use them for catering on campus. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches salads and have multiple daily quiche options and soups on the menu. My go-to is the reuben or the French dip, but really, you can't go wrong! Everything is freshly made and delicious. There are few pastries and loaves of bread available, but for more extensive options, you'll need to go to the Stick Boy Bakery across from campus. They are usually pretty busy at lunch time during the week, and there can be limited seating during the winter or if there is bad weather. If it's nice out though, there is additional outside seating. If you're looking for a soup and sammie spot, this is your place! 10/10 highly recommend!

The food at Stick Boy Bread Company is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Their breads are perfectly baked, pastries are delightful, and everything tastes homemade. A must-visit for bakery lovers!

Stickboy has always been a Boone favorite & staple for me. I recently found out I have celiac disease, meaning I can’t eat gluten & have developed terrible reactions. I still can’t give up a sandwich! Stickboy has gluten free bread - however the service member on the phone was transparent enough to let me know cross contamination risk isn’t guaranteed (it’s a bread company so makes sense!) but told me she would write in on the ticket and they would do their best - changing gloves, etc. I did not get “glutened” & the food was absolutely amazing although I do miss their sourdough & cheddar bagels. The transparency & accommodations spoke volumes & they have the nicest staff!

We came up to visit our son in Boone. When we moved our son into his apartment we stayed at a hotel on King St. that had Stick Boy pastries on their menu—it was love at first bite! Later I googled & found their bread company (taking home some bread & treats). On this overnight trip—I was visiting the plaza to seek out some vintage finds at the thrift shop & stumbled upon this restaurant. Yesterday afternoon I brought the family for lunch and it did not disappoint. I highly suggest looking at their online menu because the line is long because of their popularity. You’ve got to know what you want to order when you get up to the register. I’m happy they had outdoor seating because the indoor accommodations become filled-up fast. The Kluckin Kop was recommended to me & I loved the blend of the provolone, honey mustard, and mayonnaise. I took pics of the boys orders, too. My son enjoyed the cold Chick Pea sandwich. My husband went with breakfast. We also each ordered a baked good. I can’t pass up a sweet. I also love the Hatchet coffee! It’s delicious! I’m glad I tried it. It’s my go-to when I’m visiting Boone. I highly recommend taking a bag or two home. Check out my pics of other merch available. I also got to try the hibiscus lemonade and it was perfect to cool me down on this hot day. I definitely want to come back & try more off the menu. Stick Boy leaves me wanting more. I’m hooked and you will be, too! Happy Eating 🍴 Josephine Local Guide

I stopped here for coffee and treats before my 6 1/2 hour drive home. The woman that helped me was amazing! She explained all my goodies to me even offered me a water for the road. I was so excited I ate half my treats on the way home and then got home, unpacked my car, and my dog stole the chocolate croissant!?! so I cannot tell you about it. The sticky bun, the cream cheese bun, peanut butter pie and the cruffin with peanut butter cream and jelly in it were absolutely freaking amazing but the chocolate croissant I have no idea you’ll have to ask my dog.

Really good brunch spot. I got the Kluckin Kop sandwich and it was great. Definitely get the pickle and chips with it, it adds a lot. Staff were nice and everything went smoothly. Only thing is the sides are a bit limited; chips are fine but more options would be nice. My girlfriend had the chicken noodle soup and liked it a lot.
